📜 Introduction.
When travelling, especially for long periods, it’s crucial to choose the right backpack, rucksacks and organisers to bring and carry everything you need. At the same time, it is important not to overload yourself with heavy luggages.
Choosing the right backpack, rucksacks and organisers can really make a difference in moving around in a practical, light, and comfortable way.
In this post, I’m sharing a selection of backpacks, rucksacks and organisers that have truly proven to be essential on my journeys around the world for storing and carrying my goods.

🎒 Backpack.
For my very first long backpack trip to Asia, I was looking for a comfortable but spacious backpack. For this reason, I chose the Tripole Colonel 80L backpack not only for its capacity, but also for its practicality. What really convinced me was the removable 12L daypack, perfect for daily use or short hikes without carrying the entire main backpack.
Tripole Colonel 80L backpack is designed for long trips, with a fiber frame and aluminum bar for stability, a rain cover, and a separate bottom compartment for shoes or a sleeping bag. The two side pockets are spacious enough to fit two pairs of shoes and even a foldable hairdryer!
Crafted from waterproof, durable polyester and designed with a padded, breathable back panel, this backpack is both sturdy and versatile. It comfortably carries 20–23 kg and is also available in a 90L version for travellers who need extra space.

👜 Front Rucksack for Valuables.
When I travel, I can’t risk leaving important items inside my backpack on my shoulders. For my laptop, glasses, documents, medicines, and everything valuable, I rely on a spacious and well-organised Voova Laptop backpack, that I usually place on front on me.
With its dimensions of 44 × 29 × 18 cm, this backpack provides enough space for a 15.6’’ laptop, books, a camera, and other personal goods. It features 3 main compartments, one front pocket, two side bottle holders, and even a key hook.
Plus, the interior pockets help keep everything organised so you don’t have to dig around at the bottom of the bag.

🎒 Foldable Backpack.
To carry water, snacks, a tripod, and other small items with me during my daily walks and sightseeing activities, I opt for a foldable backpack that combines large capacity and practicality.
This foldable backpack by Risipu, available in multiple colours, features a main zippered compartment, a front zippered pocket, and two mesh side pockets, providing enough space for all your essential items.
And when it’s no longer needed, it can be easily folded and stored for your next daily adventure.

🧊 Medical Insulated Case.
I have type 1 diabetes and Graves’ disease (hypothyroidism), and for me, keeping my medications in a cool and safe place is an absolute priority while travelling (check out my post Tips for Travelling Long-Term with Diabetes Type 1).
As a diabetic, I must carry an insulin supply and essential devices wherever I go, and this cute insulated case by Yarwo has proven perfect. In fact, it can contain 5 Lantus pens and 8 Humalog pens (plus other travel essential medications that you can find in this post), keeping them safe and cool throughout the trip. The product includes a medical insulated case (I chose the medium size version with two zippers), two reusable ice packs, and a foldable soft fabric pouch, which I didn’t use to maximise the capacity. Its dimensions are 21 × 11.78 × 8.3 cm.
Whenever necessary, I politely ask hotel or hostel staff to keep the ice packs in their freezer if there isn’t a mini-fridge in the room or a shared kitchen with a common fridge.

👛 Waist Bag.
During my travels (and even in everyday life), I prefer not to keep my phone, money, and documents in my pockets or rucksack, so I rely on this colourful Nepalese handcrafted waist bag by Junkiri: practical, durable, and lightweight, with three compartments (a front pocket, a spacious central one, and a hidden back pocket) to keep all essentials well organised and within easy reach.

🧳 Packing Cubes.
One of the best hacks that has truly transformed the way I travel is using packing cubes.
This set by Gemtte comes with 13 pieces in total. However, for longer trips I’ve found that just 4 pieces are more than enough. I usually pack two large cubes (40 × 30 × 12 cm) for clothes, one medium (28 × 20 × 11 cm) for underwear, and one zip bag for socks.
Everything fits perfectly into my Tripole Colonel 80L backpack, with no wasted space and they keep my clothes folded and tidy. I also use the waterproof plastic pouch to separate dirty clothes: a simple, practical solution I highly recommend.

🎈 Conclusions.
Travelling light but well-prepared is all about finding the right balance between practicality and comfort. These backpacks and storage solutions have not only made my trips easier, but also helped me stay organised, safe, and stress-free, whether I’m on a short getaway or on a long journey abroad.
Every traveller has different needs, but I truly believe that investing in a few smart essentials especially a great backpack can completely change the way you move around the world.
